Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine has a unique style which combines R&B with gospel, soul music and R&B. Avery Sunshine's work has led her across Broadway to European events and clubs, to even her participation in the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine's real name is Denise White. Though she's located in Atlanta, her roots are situated in Chester Pennsylvania. There she was the first to begin pursuing a musical career performing and singing at church. She was a student at Spellman College in Atlanta where she began her training within Atlanta's R&B scene. Since then, it was remixed and has become a element of her set. Her voice has also been a part of vocals on The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. In 2005, she became the keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. In 2007 Grammy and Tony award-winning vocalist Jennifer Holliday sought her out to be the director of choral in the production staged by Dreamgirls at the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine became the focus of attention during four daily performances during the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was then invited to sing at the Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
